Welcome to Bordeaux meeting
Thursday 3st of July 2014, partners of the Girls Go It project met in Bordeaux (France). During this third meeting of the European group, AFEC Europe presented the results of the survey about girls’ access to technological careers, carried out in the five countries and conducted among vocational guidance specialists.
New projects for the group were presented by AGAEMP and next steps were planned as well as next meeting in Turkey.
Visiting Bordeaux : Le miroir d’Eau
After meeting and a delicious typical French lunch, partners were guided through the city of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 350 classified historic buildings. From Place de la Bourse to the Fountain to the girondins at the Esplanade des Quinconces, the partners could enjoy the visit and also the magical effects of the “Miroir d’Eau”, a terrace filled with water which reflects the buildings of the city.
Engineering school in IT ENSEIRB-MATMECA
The second day of their visit to Bordeaux, partners visited Engineering school in IT ENSEIRB-MATMECA, where they could know more about the school and statistics about Girls.
ENSEIRB-MATMECA has four departments: Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications and Mechanics, it is positioned at the top of French engineering school rankings and is reputed for its innovative teaching.

Enjoying free time
From promenades by bike, to shopping in Sainte-Catherine Street or watching the french team at the World Cup match, partners could enjoy of their free time during their last day in Bordeaux.
